Quiet week between holidays? Maybe not. This week has a decided air of finality. The year is dead; long live the year!

Happy Hannukah, Solstice and Christmas! What -- doesn’t feel like the holidays? Well, they’re different now, like everything else in our lives and world. Scaled-back doesn’t have to mean empty-hearted, though, as this weekend will prove.

Now that we are through the gauntlet of eclipses, life is less extreme. Our engines have engaged, and we're waiting for the signal to hit the gas and go. In the meantime, the skies are giving us the space and time to make sense of everything we've learned, heard and realized in the past three weeks.  Mercury goes direct on Tuesday, so communication, technology and transportation should return to more of a straightforward motion.

Gentlemen, start your engines! The race is about to begin. Situations that have felt stymied since summer or longer (most of your life, say) are ripe for radical change, because something in you is now demanding it. it's still a few weeks until you can put the pedal to the metal. In the meantime, unexpected-to-shocking revelations are on the way that are critical to your journey. Time to change your perception of key situations and concepts; time to drop some of those core beliefs that have been steering your life.

Backwards, forwards and standing still. Life is so every which way right now. Don't worry:  you're getting crystal clear on what matters most to you.

Not your usual Thanksgiving this year:  Mercury's going retrograde on the eve of a solar eclipse in Sagittarius, and we're all over time/space. The present is full of old friends, travel snafus and incredibly purposeful action. Give thanks for it all, even the delays and mishaps. Pass the pie, please!
